Welcome to Wednesday
We are in the midst of a cold front bringing unsettled atmospheric conditions to the region. What does that mean for you? Scattered showers are possible, as well as some thunderstorms. Thunderstorms will primarily be between 1pm and 9pm. A storm or two may be severe, but overall, underwhelming for those looking for a decent display of nature’s electricity.
Floating way up above our heads is a thick blanket of wildfire smoke. This isn’t just coming from Canada. This is also coming from fires in the US as well. Luckily for now, it is up there high enough where we shouldn’t have any significant air quality issues.
In the tropics, Tropical Storm Bertha formed a few days ago and is on course to head into Texas. We’ve been dealing with more significant events up here, so I have just been keeping an eye on it. Really not the biggest and most well-defined tropical storm I have seen, but it fits the criteria.
