Weekend Outlook
While we look to have a pleasant Saturday, Wildfire smoke is expected to move back into the region Sunday.
On Saturday, northern New England will experience partly sunny skies with a lot of low level and mid-level clouds rolling through, while southern New England sees mostly sunny skies.
The next chance for any real rain doesn't look to be until the middle of the month at this point.
The drought monitor hasn't really changed much for New England. While the map doesn't show it, my personal feelings are that a lot of areas a drier than they appear, at least on the surface. A lot goes into declaring an area in an abnormally dry state or in a drought, much more than just surface conditions, and the 2 inch deluge of rain really does not help that.
