Weather rollercoaster on the way
Get ready for the roller coaster ride, and no, not at Canobie Lake Park. As you can also see from the calendar view, we are in for another interesting stretch with a little, or a lot, or something, every day for the next couple weeks.
For Sunday, slightly warmer with snow showers across the far north. Winds will be mild with top gusts in the 20s. Overall, not a bad day and really one of the better days besides today. The way this works for the foreseeable future is that you can have warm temps and rain, or cold temps and sun. I can’t give you sun and warm.
Monday has building clouds with rain later in the day with a mix to snow farther north. Temps will be trending upward a bit.
Tuesday, rain showers south, steadier rain for Vermont, New Hampshire, and southern Maine, with a wintry mosh pit of everything farther north. This will all last into Wednesday with some increasing wind gusts.
Temperatures as we go from Tuesday to Wednesday will also be climbing into the high 60s to mid 70s for much of the region, but come Thursday, we drop back to highs in the 40s with a chance for accumulating snow Thursday into Friday for a large chunk of the region.
Looking for something fun and different to do this weekend? Check out the Mount Washington Cog Railway where it is actively snowing at the Waumbek Station. Enjoy a ride up New England’s largest peak and home of the world’s worst weather where you can sit by the fire and roast marshmallows and enjoy an assortment of refreshments while you take in the scenery.
