TIMING-
Precipitation moves in just in time for the evening commute on Tuesday.
By about 8pm, precipitation will have made it to along the long NH/ME border.
By about 4am, most of Maine will be experiencing snow of some sort. This is also when the heaviest rain looks to hit southern New England.
By morning commute, precipitation begins to leave the region from southwest to northeast. We also see the changeover to rain creeping up into central NH, VT, and ME.
Precipitation should fully leave the region by late afternoon/ early evening.
PRECIPITATION TYPES-
Snow starts out just below the NH/MA border with rain to the south. This line will creep northward through the late evening and into the early morning.
Rain will be heavy for the majority of the time. Rain will be prevalent for southern New England with amounts dropping off the farther north you go.
ADDITIONAL HAZARDS-
Wind will be strongest along the coast and at the higher elevations. The high end looks to be in the 60-70mph range, while inland and lower elevations will see an average of 25-35mph.
Wind will last through the day Wednesday into the late evening.
Minor to moderate street flood and basement flooding is probable due to water not having anywhere to go due to the snow covering drains.
Watching another storm system for this weekend similar to this one.
