Sunday-Monday Update
Issued Saturday Evening
Not much has changed. I did move the accumulation totals around a little as we discussed during the live stream was likely going to happen.
There are a lot of people who still have an issue grasping and understanding the timing map...
The colors DO NOT indicate anything significate other than outlining the zones that the times indicate. The colors do not indicate snow totals, wind gusts, or anything else.
The days of the week are labelled, and the times go in sequential order from left to right. They don’t jump around days.
The times are in 4 hour increments. This means take the time before and the time on that particular zone to get the timing. Example, on the onset side, the first number is labelled as Sunday 1pm. The next zone is labelled as 4pm. This means that the first yellow zone labelled 4pm will see precipitation fill in between 1pm and 4pm. The lime green labelled 7pm will see precipitation fill in between 4pm and 7pm, so on, and so forth.
The heaviest precipitation is still expected Monday morning between 1am and 7am for southern New England, and moderate to heavy snowfall will affect coastal Main from 7am until 7pm.
Coastal southern New England is expecting liquid ratios of 8-11:1, meaning a heavier snow, almost cement.
North and west into the Worcester hills, southern NH, and beyond will see ratios of 11-13:1, meaning lighter, but not a true powder, and not cement either.
I will be doing another livestream tomorrow to bring you the finer details that are more difficult to explain via text.
Quite honestly, I find the live streams and recorded forecasts a lot easier for me to explain a lot of the details that I can’t explain on a single image or written format. I am investing in a better setup for accomplishing this.
More to come.
