Storms are brewing
An update on today's forecast as well a look at the long range.
Late day showers and thunderstorms have caused an excessive rainfall outlook to be issued. Higher totals look to be between SWCT and SWVT. Some storms and intense downpours could cause localized flash flooding making streets temporarily impassable.
No, your late 90s Honda Civic will not make it through the flooded underpass. Go another way.
There is a low chance for severe storms. Low does not mean none. It also does not mean everyone will see a severe storm.
Rain is expected during the evening for most of the region. Most does not mean all.
Looking at the long range, there are some abundant chances for rain. This is mostly in shower form. We really could use a good 2 day soaking instead of these little passing bursts. Even Thursday looks like mostly showers with localized heavier downpour and some storms as of now.
A heat advisory is posted for much of southern New England from Tuesday through Friday just about. I'll have more on this in the regional outlook.
In the tropics, one little guy is being watched that may transition into the Gulf. Very low risk right now. Still a lot of dry air coming off of Africa. Not looking to be a very active season this year.
*Sponsor Slots Available-
I do still have sponsor slots available and MORE will be available on the regional outlook as I have recently broken it down into 3 different regions. We are also going to be entering into the Fall/Winter season shortly, so if you missed out on a spot last year, now is a good time to start thinking about that as well.
