Showers and Storms later today
Showers and scattered storms today, especially later in the day is the game again. This should be similar to what we saw yesterday.
Remember... scattered means just that. It does not mean widespread. It does not mean everywhere. Quite a few people seemed to have a hard time understanding last night why they didn’t get rain or a thunderstorm.
I can only show you the maps of where they are, I can’t make them come to you. That’s up to you to use voodoo, rain dances, thoughts and prayers, tots and pears, or whatever you typically use to control the weather at your location.
There is a chance for a more intense storm or two in western CT, but again, we will just have to keep our eyes open later on once things start popping up.
On the drought monitor, there is reason to celebrate! We have seen some significant improvements over the past few weeks, and the water year deficits are dropping too. Most of the region is now in the 5-10 and up to 5 inch deficit range, which is a considerable improvement from 10+. I like small victories, so I’ll take it.
