Nor'easter Update
We are going to focus a bit on the Thursday-Friday Nor'easter. We haven't had a really decent storm here for a while, and this may end up being a decent one.
Keep in mind that this is a coastal storm, and therefore the coast is going to see the bulk of the impacts.
This means... if you live in a home that can see the ocean out your window, this affects you. If you live in a home that can see the home that can see the ocean, this affects you. If you cannot see the ocean, the home that sees the ocean, or the home that sees the home that sees the ocean, your impacts will likely be much less.
So what impacts are we talking about? Well, we are watching for significant rain, large waves, and gusty winds. Each model run is showing something a little different as far as track and position, but the general impacts are the same.
For those up north and in the higher elevations, we are watching for some likely wintry precipitation. Some forecast models are event hinting at potential for plowable snow. Don't forget, it can and has snowed well into May, and even into June before, and snow can accumulate if the intensity is persistent enough. No, it's not going to stick around for very long, however, it can still be enough to make travel difficult.
Keep in mind that the snow map shows "potential". There are going to be at least 7 people who come here on Friday night and complain that they didn't get the snow that I said they would. Potential... possible, but not 100% likely. I even included the contractor map showing 25%-50% possibilities.
We will nail down timing a little more tomorrow.
